Incoming firearm transfer

WHO CAN SEND US A FIREARM

1. A Gun shop (Federally licensed dealer, FFL)

2. A Federally licensed manufacturer.

NOTE:

We do not accept firearms from individuals.

We only accept FFL (gun shop) to FFL (gun shop) transfers.

WHO CAN PICK UP THE TRANSFERRED FIREARM(S)

Only the purchaser can take possession of the firearm(s).

The recipient of the firearm must have the proper permit/certificates/identification/residency to take possession of the specific firearm(s).

WHAT IS NEEDED TO REQUEST A TRANSFER

Complete the transfer request form below.

WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY FIREARM(S)

1. Tracking Information: Tracking details may be provided by the transferring FFL.

2. Delivery Confirmation: A delivery confirmation does not imply that the firearm(s) are ready for collection.

3. Mandatory Processing Interval: A mandatory processing period of 24 to 48 business hours is required for all incoming transfers. We will contact you to confirm when your firearm is ready for pickup.

4. Prior Confirmation Required: We will contact you when your firearm is ready for pickup.

5. Await Our Call: We will contact you once your firearm is ready for pickup. Please do not come to the store until you receive our text or call.

Transfer Process - Long Gun:

If you are receiving a long gun (rifle/shotgun), you will follow these steps:

1. Federal Form 4473: Complete the Federal Form 4473 during the transfer process.

2. NYS Background Check: We will conduct a New York State background check as part of the transaction.

*You will need to present your valid NYS driver's license.

Transfer Process - Semi-Auto Rifle:

1. Federal Form 4473: Complete the Federal Form 4473 during the transfer process.

2. NYS Background Check: We will conduct a New York State background check as part of the transaction .

*You will need to present both your driver's license and your New York State semi-auto rifle license.

Transfer Process - Handgun:

If you are receiving a handgun, please follow these steps:

1. Receipt for Handgun License Amendment: You will receive a receipt that you can use to amend your New York State handgun license.

2. County Purchase Coupon: After obtaining the purchase coupon from your county, proceed with the following steps:

-Federal Form 4473: Complete the Federal Form 4473 during the transaction.

NYS Background Check: We will perform a New York State background check as part of the process.

TRANSFER FEES

Our fee for processing incoming transfers is $100.00 per firearm. We will store your transfer for up to 30 days. After 30 days, there will be a monthly fee of $30.00, in addition to the NYS background check fee.
